When you open an account we need to verify your address. If your address can’t be verified online you’ll need to provide a proof of address using one of the following documents.
- A utility bill such as power, gas, water, or internet
- A council rates letter
- A document from a registered NZ Bank
- A document from a NZ insurance company
- A document issued by a Government agency
- A rental agreement
The document must be no more than 12 months old, addressed to you, and match the address that you signed up to Kernel with. We can accept an electronic copy of these documents, for example an internet bill you received via email.
You can send us a copy of one of these documents after you have completed your account registration, through our Chat or via email. If you have none of these documents, chat to us, and we will find a solution.
